Netscape 4.08 Settings





  1. Open Netscape.


  2. Click on the Edit menu, then click on Preferences.


  3. Click on Navigator.




  4. In the Home page location field, it should read http://www.nni.com


  5. Click on the arrow next to Mail & Newsgroups so it faces down.


  6. Click on Identity


  7. In the Your name field should be your name.


  8. In the Email address field should be your email address.


  9. In the reply-to address field should also be your email address


  10. Click on Mail server.




  11. In the Mail server username, it should be your username.


  12. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server field, it should read smtp.nni.com


  13. **Very Important**

    If your username starts with A - F,
    the Incoming mail server field should read mail1.nni.com

    If your username starts with G - M,
    your Incoming mail server field should read mail2.nni.com

    If your username starts with N - S,
    your Incoming mail server field should read mail3.nni.com

    If your username starts with T - Z,
    your Incoming mail server field should read mail4.nni.com



  14. Click on Groups server


  15. In the Discussion groups (news) server field, it should read news.nni.com




  16. Click on the arrow next to Advanced so it faces down. Then click on Proxies.


  17. Direct connection to the Internet should be selected.


  18. Click OK.
