Dial-up Networking Settings

1. Double click on My Computer
2. Double click on Dial Up Networking
3. Left click on More



4. Left click on Edit Phone Book and Modem Properties
5. The name of the Connection should be nni.com. Your Local Access Number should be in the phone number field. Your modem should be listed in the modem field.



6. Left click on the server tab.
7. The first box should say PPP, WindowsNT, Windows95, Internet. There should be a dot next to TCP/IP.
8. There should be a checkmark for Enable software compression and also for Enable PPP LCP extensions .



9. Left click on the TCP/IP Settings button.
10. Make sure the screen looks like this:



11. Left click on OK
12. Left click on the Script tab.
13. There should be a dot next to None
14. Left click on the Security tab
15. Make sure Accept any Authentication including clear text is selected.
16. Left click on OK
