Netscape 4.5 - 4.7 Setup

1. Open Netscape Communicator
2. Click on the Edit menu, then click on Preferences.



3. On the left hand side click on Navigator.



4. On the left hand side just under the Navigator section click on Home page.
5. In the Location: field it should read http://www.nni.com
6. Click the + in front of Mail & Newsgroups
7. On the left hand side under Mail & Newsgroups click on Identity.

8. In the Your name: field should be your name
9. In the Email address: field should be your email address, ie, jsmith@nni.com
10. Click Mail Servers

11. Click on edit.



12. In the Server Type field select POP3.
13. The Server Name field should read pop3.nni.com
14. Select Remember password.
15. Click on OK.
16. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field type in smtp.nni.com
17. In the Outgoing mail server user name: field type in your username, ie. jsmith
18. Be sure Never is selected under User Secure Socket Layer(SSL) or TLS for outgoing messages:

19. On the left hand side, click on Newsgroup Server. In the box it should read news.nni.com.

20. On the left hand side, click on the + next to Advanced. Then click on Proxies.
21. Make sure Direct connection to the Internet is selected.
22. Click OK
